After Amie divorced and recognized the importance of legal representation in dissolution, she decided to re-enter the practice of law, focusing on family law.

Before practicing family law, Amie clerked for federal judges at the United States Bankruptcy Court in both Los Angeles and Nevada where she performed legal research, drafted bankruptcy memoranda, opinions, and orders. Amie was in-house counsel for a real-estate development company where she drafted and negotiated business agreements and advised on business development, strategy, marketing and management. Amie was also a consultant for businesses assisting with formation, contract review and drafting and business strategy.  She then took time off to raise her two children.

Amie began her family law career volunteering at the Harriet Buhai Center and the Los Angeles County Bar Domestic Violence Project. She then practiced at a boutique law firm specializing in family law where she prevailed at trial in a difficult out-of-state move-away case.

Because of her own divorce, Amie decided to approach her practice

differently with the goal of guiding clients toward settlement. She works with her clients to resolve legal issues and takes a supportive role, providing caring result-oriented guidance. Amie’s hope is to assist parties going through divorce with compassion and understanding, using her experience as a guide. Amie also recognizes that in some cases, litigation cannot be avoided.

Amie has an array of experts in various fields to assist clients in the broader of their divorce including child advocates, therapists, accountants, real estate professionals and financial advisors.

Amie’s goal is to guide clients on a path to a new life and a new future.

In working with clients, Amie recognized that many businesses start operating without the proper business foundation, structure and goals. Small business owners needed legal and business guidance to protect their business interests,  Amie offers business and legal services to clients.

Amie is a member of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles and a volunteer at the Sojourn Domestic Violence Clinic.
